Overview of the Closed-Fuel-System

Overview of the Closed-Fuel-System

Exhaust System

Green energy is clean energy. With rumors of global warming looming around, cleaner, more efficient, and renewable energy sources are being discovered. For example, the hydrogen car has been a recent concept, but NASA has been using hydrogen fuel and hydrogen fuel cells to power their shuttles since 1969, so this is not a new concept.

What the world has realized, but not embraced, is that water is the best resource for fuel that we have. Yes we have solar panels, yes we have wind power, and yes we have a powerful but dangerous source of energy, nuclear. However, not a single one of those resources can nearly compare to the efficiency and effectiveness of hydro fuel. In small amounts it is completely harmless, but powerful enough to give a piston the energy it needs to turn a crankshaft. If you were to perform electrolysis on water, the end product would be a hydrogen/oxygen gas mix called hydroxy. These two gasses are the building blocks for water.

The cool part is that there just so happens to be an explosive quality to these when bonded together, which is where the magic begins. After they are bonded together, the end result is... more water. Actually, it's the same amount of water you started with, which is the third and final step. The water gets collected within the engine and pumped back into the fuel tank for re-use. This is what is called a closed-fuel-system. Like the brake system in your car, there is no place to pop open a cap and add more, because you already have all that you need. There would be no exhaust pipe because there would be no by-products. Half of the modern oil powered engine would be rendered obsolete, and most of the metal parts would have to be replaced with plastic, reducing the cars weight substantially. Modern Hydro powered cars convert water into hydrogen/oxygen mix and add it into the air intake instead of air, increasing gas mileage and reducing pollution, but there still comes a point when you have to add more fuel (gasoline). What I'm proposing is shocking and drastic... Completely eliminate the need for gas at all, leave it in the environment, we're already half-way there. If a guy in a garage can make this work with a jar and a computer power supply, then there is every reason to adopt it as the next step for humanity and the environment.

I get to check out yet another Gallardo, only this one is a 2008 Spyder, I record it starting up and the exhausts, as well as it driving away and coming back, it's more impressive hearing one driving right beside of you, and the black/black (Nero) color combination with the yellow calipers looks awesome in person.

Upgrading Your Diesel Exhaust System Improves Your Powerstroke Performance, Horsepower and Torque

Upgrading Your Diesel Exhaust System Improves Your Powerstroke Performance, Horsepower and Torque

Exhaust System

If you want to get more from your Ford Powerstroke then you've got to give a little... in the way of cool, clean air that is. An exhaust system is one of the first upgrades I recommend for your Ford diesel truck. An upgraded diesel exhaust system provides improved performance and lower exhaust gas temperatures unlike factory systems which may remove noise, but create back pressure and raise exhaust temperatures.

Minimizing back pressure is the secret to getting more out of your diesel engine. The only way that you can get fresh, cool air in is to get the hot air out. A diesel performance system gets exhaust out quickly through the spiral louvered high flow muffler to the fully mandrel bent tubing and minimal bend degree angles. You can drop exhaust gas temperatures in your Powerstroke by up to 200ºF setting the stage for overall increased performance. A performance system is definitely the starting point to getting the most out of your cold air intake, programmers, modules and downloaders.

We all want better performance out of our Powerstrokes and performance is critical, but as a Ford enthusiast, I believe that appearance and sound are equally important. Performance diesel exhaust systems are specifically tuned to get the optimal sound out of your truck paired with hot visual styling. If you're going to have your Ford Powerstroke kick ass then you need to look and sound the part too.

The Best Systems Start With the Best Materials.
Performance exhaust systems come in heavy duty aluminized steel or stainless steel. Aluminized systems can offer a value price without compromised quality. In some stock systems, seams are a major point of rust through, but fully sealed tubing can add years to your system.

Built to Perform.
Most of the time when someone tells you that pipe size doesn't matter it's a lie. When it comes to performance exhaust systems bigger does not necessarily mean better. Stock systems often use piping that is too small, which causes restrictions and back pressure causing you to lose horsepower. However using pipes that are too large for your engine makes it so that the exhaust will not be able to scavenge properly causing you to lose power and efficiency. Performance exhaust systems are sized for your exact year, make and model, so you get piping that is sized just right.

For The 7.3L diesel Powerstroke owner, you will find that your truck responds extremely well to a full turbo back exhaust system. This type of system consists of a 4" downpipe, 4" intermediate pipes, a high flow diesel muffler with a 4" tailpipe. You can finish off the system with a mirror polished, show quality 5" diameter exhaust tip for extra style points. With this system high flow is the key to putting the "power" in Powerstroke. This system is a must for trucks that are, or intend to run an upgraded air intake system and chip.

If you really want to give your truck more pulling power then you can count on an exhaust system upgrade to give you the power to tow all of your gear effortlessly. You will see horsepower and torque gains, better fuel economy as well as a drop in EGT (exhaust gas temperature). You can expect to see up to 18 HP more horsepower and 28 ft/lb more torque. Many diesel performance exhaust systems are an easy 1 to 2 hour install using bolt-on, no weld designs that make installation hassle-free while providing much improved operating performance out of your truck.
